Thomson to host contest

NOW entrants to our CityLife Comedian Of The Year competition are going to have to be funnier than ever, as funnyman John Thomson has agreed to host the event.

John, who played a popular character in the long-running TV series Cold Feet and was also a star of The Fast Show, used to be a regular on the Manchester comedy circuit, along with pals such as Steve Coogan and Caroline Aherne.
